Since the beginning of this year, the Huzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade has closely followed the main line of work of "stabilizing foreign trade, expanding markets and promoting growth", and has assisted enterprises in exploring emerging markets and fostering new drivers of foreign trade growth by innovating service models. On August 2nd, the Huzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade, in collaboration with the Wuxing District Children's Clothing Industry Development Center, jointly organized 12 textile fabric enterprises from Huzhou, including 7 children's clothing enterprises, to participate in the 2025 Sao Paulo Textile and Apparel Exhibition (GOTEX) in Brazil. The total exhibition area of this event was 162 square meters.
As the largest international professional textile and garment exhibition in Brazil, GOTEX has been held annually since its establishment in 2013. It is hosted by the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and organized by the China (Brazil) Investment Development and Trade Center. Based in Brazil, it radiates throughout the Central and South American markets and serves as an important platform for enterprises to expand into the American market and build a bridge of cooperation and trust.
To ensure the effectiveness of this exhibition, the Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade has taken early actions, inviting the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China (Brazil) Investment Development and Trade Center to come to Huzhou for connection. They will introduce the overview of the Brazilian market, the exhibition situation of the Sao Paulo International Textile and Apparel Procurement Exhibition in Brazil, and provide guidance on registration and visa for the Brazilian exhibition, etc. This is to help textile and children's clothing enterprises participate in the exhibition in a group and lay a foundation for enterprises to deeply cultivate the South American market. During the exhibition, the Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade will continue to play the role of a bridge and link, deepen communication and exchanges with overseas business associations and institutions such as the China-Brazil Trade Center in Brazil, smooth cooperation channels, help enterprises accurately grasp the opportunities in the South American market, further expand the international market space, and promote the steady and far-reaching development of Huzhou's textile industry in the tide of globalization.
